What to Expect — Pre & Post Treatment
Before Your Treatment
- Arrive with a clean, dry scalp — no styling products, oils, or dry shampoo on treatment day.
- Topical numbing cream is applied in-office before treatment for comfort.
- Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, and any history of hair loss conditions.
- Avoid significant sun exposure to the scalp for 1–2 weeks before treatment.
- Discuss any topical hair loss treatments (minoxidil, growth serums) with your provider — timing of application may be adjusted.
After Your Treatment
- You may notice mild scalp redness or slight swelling for 1–2 days — this is normal.
- Most patients resume all normal activities the same day.
- Avoid direct sun exposure to the scalp for a few days following treatment.
- If using topical growth factors or minoxidil, apply as directed — the micro-channels improve absorption post-treatment.
- Avoid harsh shampoos or scalp scrubs for 48 hours after treatment.
- Some temporary increased shedding may occur in the first few weeks — this is part of the growth cycle reset.
